Introduction: This music project has allowed us to understand more about the topic “Respect” from which we have composed a song out of. The word “Respect” takes on a myriad of meanings. Out of which, we have decided to settle on the meaning of admiration as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements. We feel that the value of respect is also vital to maintain a good relationship between us and other people. We have enjoyed the song-writing process as we learned how to compose songs and also got to have lots of fun while working together to come out with the tune.
Initial thoughts: At first, we assumed that this would be a hard task to complete in the limited time and arrangements. We needed to revamp our plan over and over again as we were unable to agree on an “answer”.
Strengths: Teamwork within the group also came into play as we had to work harmoniously to produce a plan and to execute and modify it along the way. That was one of the key strengths that we needed and we had it. Since we were particularly good friends from the start, we were able to cooperate well and made good use of our time.
Weaknesses/flaws: However, we faced some challenges while doing so. Time constraint was a big problem. Furthermore, the ideas that came from each of us were varied and extremely different. To solve this problem, we jotted down the ideas and discussed if each one was suitable for our song. As we could not physically meet up, the only way for us to communicate was through the internet. However, there was no common time that we could all go online, therefore not all of us were able to make it for the online discussions. As a result of that, we tried our best to complete as much as we could within the thirty minutes given to us during our weekly music lessons. Although we encountered all these challenges, we managed to overcome them and compose our song.
Conclusion: All in all, we really enjoyed this project and we have learnt a lot from it. Our teachers played a significant role by teaching us how to write the song and they gave many useful suggestions for us to improve our song.
这个音乐创作作业让我们更加了解了我们这首主题也就是“敬”。写完了这首歌后,我们觉得尊敬别人的重要信是为了保持人和人之间的感情和友谊。我们很享受创作歌曲的整个过程。我们从中学会了创作歌曲的技巧。我们一起做音乐的时候很开心,尤其是想出节奏的部分。
做音乐果然没有我们想象中的单调和无趣。
我们做音乐之前的想法是这样的:做音乐非常非常难,因为我们要在很短的时间中完成任务。我们也以为我们需要一直想出新歌,所以肯定是行不通的。
我们做音乐过程的强项:
1) 团结合作。我们必须共同构造出一个计划,慢慢地把歌发展起来,成为我们的作品。这点我队觉得我们还是做得不错的。
2) 好朋友。因为一开始我们是好朋友。这让整个过程有趣多了,和自己认识的人做音乐能够让我们和平相处,所以才能把歌做完。
我们做音乐的缺点: 1) 我们面对了许多困难。第一个问题是时间限制。由于我们第一次做音乐,所以老师解释后我们还不是很明白,要用很多时间想。
过程中的问题
1) 时间限制。我们每两个星期见一次面来谈清楚,浪费了很多时间。为了节省时间,我们在 Google Drive 上写音乐的词,让我们随时都能看我们的进度。
2) 提议不一。我们每一个都有很不同的问题。为了解决问题,我们把提议输入于Google Drive,我 们再商量谁的提议是最好的。
总结 总的来说,大家都很喜欢这个音乐作业。大家从这个过程中学会了团队精神的重要,我们也很谢谢老师们的耐心教导。如果再有一次这样的活动,我们一定会再试一次,做得更好。
